Secure your accounts: the power of cybersecurity

The digital world is evolving at lightning speed. With ionBIZ, you centralize more and more crucial processes, from project management and timekeeping to internal documents. This makes your daily work more efficient, but it also emphasizes the growing importance of cybersecurity. After all, all sensitive information is in one place.
That's why it's essential to protect your accounts. Just one leaked password can pose a major risk to your data and that of your customers and colleagues. The simplest and most effective way to prevent this is to activate two-factor authentication (2FA).

What exactly is 2FA?

2FA adds a crucial extra layer of security to your login process. It ensures that you log in not only with something you know (your password), but also with something you have (such as your smartphone).
This principle is simple:

  1. You enter your username and password, the first factor.
  2. The service asks for a second factor, such as a unique code sent to your phone.
  3. You enter this code to gain access.

So even if your password is stolen, your account remains protected because the cybercriminal does not have that second factor.

Why is this important for ionBIZ users?

As an ionBIZ user, you work daily with data that should not fall into the wrong hands. Think of customer information, financial data and confidential reports.

The Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium (CCB) states that 80% of all hacks could have been prevented if two-factor authentication had been used. Research by Microsoft shows that 99.9% of automated attacks are blocked when MFA (Multi-factor authentication, which includes 2FA or multiple security steps) is enabled.

So by activating 2FA in your ionBIZ account, you not only increase your own security, but also protect the data of your customers and your colleagues. It's a small action with a huge impact on your security.

This is how to activate 2FA in ionBIZ in 4 steps

Activating 2FA in ionBIZ can be done very easily by the admin and takes only a few minutes. In the slideshow below you can see in detail which steps are required for this.

One small step, one big protection

We do everything we can to protect your data. Our move to the Visma Cloud means that we are taking the security of our servers and connections to an even higher level. Think modern encryption and security protocols that are continuously updated.

We provide the "walls" of the garden, but you carry the "key. The best technology is worth nothing if the access (your password) is not properly secured. Cyber threats are becoming more sophisticated, but fortunately, you don't have to be a cybersecurity expert to protect yourself.
