From Excel to ERP: Aucxis opts for full integration with ionBIZ

The challenge: need for one integrated system
As the company grew and diversified its activities-from auctions and RFID to hardware and software-the need for a more efficient planning system became increasingly apparent. Planning was still done entirely in Excel, which led to fragmented information and limited follow-up.
What began as a search for a pure planning tool quickly evolved into a much broader need.Aucxis decided to move toward one central solution in which ticketing, invoicing, quotations and planning were fully integrated. That choice brought them to ionBIZ.
Aucxis is an established automation company founded in the 1980s. They provide end-to-end solutions (hardware and software) and have traditionally been strong in auction systems.

The solution and the results
ionBIZ has helped Aucxis with tools they didn't have before. The most concrete improvements are:
- Ticketing and Support: ionBIZ introduced a professional ticketing system that not only works internally, but can also be used by customers. For the support department this meant a huge efficiency gain: clear follow-up, better communication and more overview.
- Optimized warehouse processes: Where picking used to be done manually, Aucxis now works with a mobile app and barcode scanning. The result is a much more efficient warehouse process. The change was so impactful that the position of full-time warehouse worker could be filled by a new colleague who now does it half-time.
- Data-driven steering (Integration): The biggest added value for Aucxis lies in the full integration and direct access to all company data. Via Power BI and direct connection with the IonBIZ database, Tom De Decker can perform analyses that help him to steer the company in a targeted way. He especially appreciates the freedom and depth that ionBIZ offers for this.
